Feeling blamed for everything ? Here are 3 things to focus on

In our life, there are instances when we doubt ourselves because we are blamed for things which someone has spoilt. We are made to believe that it’s our fault and we should be sorry about it. Hence, we start to question ourselves and find a reason for our actions. But before feeling guilty and putting on those “I am at fault” shoes, here are 3 things we need to focus on.

Examine Your Behaviour

We usually have a degree of trust in the words of people who are close to us. And when they blame us for something, we tend to take them seriously. So, the prime thing we can do is reflect on things. Examine ourselves and discern our mistake.
“What are they blaming me for?”,”What was my intention?”. Let’s ask ourselves this first. If we find any amount of truth in their accusations, then the subsequent thing we can do is to accept our mistake and try to correct it but at the same time not deceive ourselves. Honestly, it takes a lot of guts to introspect and to see where we have gone wrong; to acknowledge the situation and analyse our behaviour. So, don’t start criticizing yourself and be kind to yourself.

But its also important to remember not to trust words thoughtlessly. We should not take responsibility for someone else’s screw-ups. We don’t have to feel guilty for the things which aren’t in our hands and feel frustrated. Besides, let’s give ourselves a benefit of doubt and learn to deflect the blames. Not everything has to be our fault.

Don’t Be Hard On Yourself

Accepting our mistake is difficult, but it helps strengthen us for the future. It saves us from stepping on the evil rocks and stumbling down. But let’s not be hard on ourselves in this process. Blaming someone is easy but accepting our mistakes takes courage.
If someone keeps blaming us repeatedly for the mistake which we have apologized for, then we should feel free to relieve ourselves from this burden. Let’s not ride the boat of self-loathing and judge all our actions. We need to learn from our past mistakes and move on.

Although, if we are blamed for mistakes which we haven’t committed, then the best thing to do is to raise our voice against it. “Why shouldn’t you be blamed?” Explain and clarify your point. People will keep saying several things about us but we need to trust ourselves. We can’t explain ourselves to everyone, but it’s important to free our mind from those voices.

Don’t Lose Control Over Your Life

It’s vital to take responsibility for our mistakes and grow. But we cannot let these accuses dictate our life. Don’t get influenced by the voices imputing you. I know its easier said than done but it’s necessary to know our worth and let me tell you, it’s priceless. So let’s not point our finger on ourselves and start apologizing for the balls which someone else bobbled. It’s vital to deflect the blames and work our way through it. Seek out to people who will listen to us and understand. Let’s not lose ourselves amidst all the noises.
