25 Romantic Bollywood Dialogues That Made Us Drool

Romantic Bollywood Dialogues: Are you a die-hard Bollywood fan? Well, who isn’t? Be it “Palat” from DDLJ (yes, the movie that is the source of most of the romantic cliché scenes in Bollywood) or the poetic lines from Fanaa, Bollywood is filled with Romantic (and sometimes cheesy) dialogues. So, we decided to compile a list of the Most Romantic Bollywood Dialogues that always make us drool.

Remember Naina and Bunny? Couple Goals!! (heart-eyed emoji)

“Teri smile kitni dangerous hai pata hai? … mere paas dil hota na, teri smile pe pakka aa jaata.”

Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani

And the perfect proposal (All the girls collectively go ‘awwww’ after this dialogue…Every. Single. Time.)

“Waqt rukta nahi, beet jata hai aur hum kharch ho jaate hain….Isse pehle ki main kharch ho jaun,……mai apna waqt tere sath bitana chahta hoon…”

Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani

The movie is named ‘Mohabbatein’, with the main character named ‘Raj Malhotra’ who plays violin. Can it get more romantic?

“Mohabbat bhi zindagi ki tarah hoti hai, har mod aasaan nahin hota, har mod par khushi nahin milti, par jab hum zindagi ka saath nahin chhorte, to mohabbat ka saath kyon chhorein.”

Mohabbatein

Devdas is the epitome of ‘lost in love’.

“Chandarmukhi is bhare paimane mein aur sharaab dalogi to kya hoga, chalak jayega. Isi tarah Paro ke naam se bhara pada hai paiman-e-devdas bhi…aur bharogi to chalak jayega. Khud toh girega tumhe bhi gira dega zameen pe.”

Devdas

Who knew this dialogue would become a go-to pick up line for the whole generation.

“Aapke paaon dekhe. Bahut haseen hain. Inhe zameen par mat utariiega, Maile ho jaayenge –Aapkaa ek humsafar…”

Pakeezah

Along with Sameer, our hearts also broke watching this scene.

“Agle saat janmo tak tum vanraj ki ho, lekin athve janam me tum meri hogi and that time no vanraj vanraj plz, aur nandu tum mujhe is tarah mat dekho kyunki tumhe mujhse phir se pyaar ho jaega…”

Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam

Veer gave us the most innocent and pure definition of love.

“Mein nahi janta ke muhabbat kya hai…haan zaara k liye dil se ek dua zaror nikalti hai ki is ke aankhon mein kabhi ansoo na aye, ye hamesha khush rahay…ab ager ye mohabbat hai to mohabbat he sahi.”

Veer Zaara

When everything reminds you of that one person.

“Mai aur meri tanhai, aksar ye baaten karte hain, tum hoti to kaisa hota, tum ye kahti, tum wo kahti, tum is baat pe hairaan hoti, tum us baat pe kitni hansti, tum hoti to aisa hota, tum hoti to waisa hota.”

Silsila

Poetic or cheesy? You decide.

“Hum se bachkar jaaoge kaise.. apne dil se hame nikaaloge kaise .. hum woh khushbu hai jo saason mein baste hain …. khud ki saanson ko rok paaoge kaise.”

Fanaa

Another pick-up line, but I think it only works when SRK does it.

“Itni shidaat se maine tumhe paane ki koshish ki hai, ki har zarre ne mujhe tumse milane ki saazish ki hai.”

Om Shanti Om

Special love for your special one.

“Pyaar toh bahut log karte hain, lekin mere jaisa pyaar koi kar nahin sakta, kyunki kisi ke paas tum jo nahin ho.”

Kal Ho Na Ho

In case of love, it’s better to let the eyes talk.

“Wo baat jo lafzo mein ada ho jaye, wo baat hi kya huyi.”

Veer Zaara

Sometimes, love can give a purpose to your life.

“Yeh zindagi chal to rahi thi par tere aane se mene jeena shuru kiya”

Aashiqui 2

Saleem taught us, the only constant in this ever-changing world is love.

“Taqdeerein badal jaati hai, zamana badal jaata hai, mulkon ki tarikh badal jaati hai, Shahenshah badal jaate hai … magar is badalti hui duniya mein mohabbat jis insaan ka daaman thaam leti hai … woh insaan nahi badalta.”

Mughal-e-Azam

I bet every Anjali has heard this line at least one in her life.

“Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Anjali, tum nahi samjhogi …”

Kuch Kuch Hota Hai

Remember the scene where Aman pretends to read from Rohit’s diary but is actually confessing his own feelings? Never fails to make us cry.

“Mere naina sirf Naina ko dhoond tey hain… mein ankhein band karta hun toh tumhe dekhta hun.. aur jab ankhein kholta hun toh tumhe dekhna chahta hun!! I love you Naina I love you very very much!!!”

Kal Ho Na Ho

Ok now this one is really sweet.

“Agar main uthata toh tum jaag jaati … agar tum jaag jaati toh chali jaati … aur agar chali jaati toh main itne kareeb se tumhe kab dekhta.”

Chalte Chalte

Pure unconditional love.

“To kya hua, agar woh tumse pyaar nahi karti. Tumne usse pyaar karne se pehle yeh shart to nahi rakhi thi, ki woh bhi tumse pyaar kare. Pyaar mein shartein nahi hoti, kewal pyaar hota hai. Beintehaa pyaar.”

Mohabbatein

Love doesn’t come with an on/off switch. (sadly)

“Tu mujhe chahe na chahe yeh tere bas mein toh hai … aur main tujhko na chahun yeh mere bas mein nahi.”

Umrao Jaan

For the one who’s always on your mind.

“Tumhe dekhne ke liye mujhe in aankhon ki zaroorat nahin hai… Main toh tumhe band aankhon se bhi dekh sakti hun.”

Kaho Na Pyaar Hai

Another way of saying ’till death do us part’.

“Aap hume bhool jao hume koi gham nahi…Jis din humne aapko bhula diya Samajh lijiyega is duniya main hum nahi.”

Teri Meri Kahani

You don’t always have to put a tag on what you feel.

“Dosti keh alaava bhi kuch rishte hote hain. Kuch rishte joh hum samajhte nahin, kuch rishte jo hum samajhna nahin chahte. Kuchh rishte jinka koi naam nahin hota, sirf ehsaas hota hai. Kuch rishte jinki koi deewar nahin hoti, sarhad nahin hoti. Aise rishte jo dil ke rishte hote hain, pyar ke rishte hote hain, mohabbat ke rishte hote hain.”

Kabhi khushi Kabhi Gham

It would be a sin to discuss romantic Bollywood movies and not mention DDLJ.

“Toh kya hua agar maine jhoot sirf tumhe paane ke liye kaha tha … tohh kya hua agar tumhare chehre ke sivah mujhe koi aur chehra dikhai nahi deta … toh kya hua agar tumhare naam ke sivah mujhe koi aur naam yaad nahi rehta … tohh kya hua agar yeh awara tumhe deewano ki tarah pyar karta hai … toh kya hua … pyar sab kuch toh nahi hota na.”

Dil Wale Dulhania Le Jayenge

When it’s just important to be with them, no matter where.

“Uss swarg se kya lena jis mein tum nahin… aur us nark se kya darna jis mein tum saath ho”

Jism 2

Love is a prayer in itself.

“Tujhe yaad kar liya hai aayat ki tarah … ab tera zikr hoga ibadat ki tarah.”

Bajirao Mastani
