6 Organic Hair Care Products You Can Switch too

Its time to reconsider a beauty detox. When we purge out chemicals found in many traditional beauty products, everybody wins the planet, animals not being used for testing, and us. But like any diet, the struggle to put it into practice and stick with it is real. Switching beauty production rallying be exhausting both mentally and physically with WarPaint Journal we bring you a list of organic hair care products that are produced in India.

In May 2014, in a landmark ruling, the Indian Ministry of Health & Family banned the use of animals in the testing of cosmetic products on Indian soil. The ban has been challenged by national and international communities.

That means we are applying potentially-harmful substances onto our bodies daily without even realizing it. While researching we found out more about natural ingredients and also about Ayurveda, Aromatherapy, and the use of herbal formulations. There are many cruelty-free and organic hair care products produced by India.

What does Organic really mean?

We hear this term all the time and, like any word, it can become overused.  All organic really refers to is that the product you are consuming, be it food, grooming products, or what you have produced without the use of artificial chemicals.

There are many good reasons to choose organic products. Because they don’t contain artificial ingredients, they are gentler on your body and contribute to your overall health.  Another reason is that the production methods used are earth-friendly, meaning the planet is not suffering pollution from this product.  And, ultimately the most important is that organic grooming products are cruelty-free, meaning they are not tested on animals.  In other words, using organic hair care products means you care for your world and that’s a healthy attitude!

What does it mean when hair products have Organic Labels?

Organic hair care products work naturally to ensure that your hair is as lustrous and full-bodied as ever, and it does this without the use of harmful chemical or overdone oils.  An organic shampoo will not strip your hair of essential oils and dry it out but will enhance the natural beauty of your hair, leaving it full of life and shine.

Here is the list of Organic Hair Care products for you to make a switch with.

Aaranyaa

Derived from the Sanskrit word for “forest”, Aaranyaa is owned by Vedic Nature Care, and according to Co-founder Nagendra Pal Singh, their formulations conform to the USDA norms. We noticed that some of their products are advertised as sulfate-free, which is a smart move. Most chemical-laden products tend to lather a lot because of the sulfate content. Be rest assured that if your chemical-free product does not cause bubbles, it is still healthier for your skin as well as the environment.

While they have a range of products in skin, hair, bath, acne, and foot care, their website could do with a facelift and showcase their range a little better. Add this organic hair care product: Aaranyaa hair oils have varieties. This rejuvenating hair oil has the goodness of sesame, coconut oil, Bhringraj, Amla, Shikhakai, Methi, Gotukola, Ashwagandha, Basil, Tea Tree, and Vitamin A.

Price range:  INR 350–INR495
