During the hardships of the pandemic, India has come forward in favor of humanity. It is not undisclosed how India has taken efficient measures to try and curb the spread of the novel Corona Virus. However, the measures taken by India don’t restrict themselves to their boundaries. India is noted to have helped countries across the globe in any way that it could. India has given hope to many in these dark times. We all know how depressing the times of Corona has been. Hence, it is very essential to spread positivity among our fellow humans. Here we have some incidents from India that will either make you proud or will at least remind you to smile.

 

DONATION

We all are well aware of celebrities and pre-eminent companies donating huge amounts and certain medical supplies to the country. They are definitely worthy of praise and respect. However, there are also certain heart warming stories behind donations that one should definitely know.

• 7 year old Rommel Lalmuansanga from Mizoram donated all his savings of ₹333 to help his Village Task Forces put a strong fight against Corona. Truly, every penny counts.

• Every area in all parts of all cities of India have provisions to feed the poor. Many societies have collected donation in form of cash or necessity commodities and handed it all to the police of the same areas for further distribution among the poor.

• Many religious institutions have also come forward to help the community fight this deadly virus. Mahavir Mandir Trust donated rupees 1 crore to the CM’s relief fund. Mahamaya Mandir trust donated ₹ 5,11,000 to the CM’s relief fund and ₹ 1,11,000 to the Red Cross Society. Whereas, Kanchi Muth donated rupees 10 lakhs to CM’s fund and PM’s fund each.

• In Uttar Pradesh, the transgender people have grouped up in the cities of Bareilly and Prayagaj to provide food to the underprivileged. They practice this magnanimous gesture using their own savings.

• A video went viral very recently which showed a woman buying the police cold drinks. The woman named Lokamani lives in Andhra Pradesh and earns around ₹ 3,500 per month. The Director General of Police saluted and thanked her for her generosity.

INDIA’S CONTRIBUTION TO THE WORLD

The entire world has been praising India for its altruism. Without a second thought about the past relations with the countries, India has provided supplies to them with or without demand.

• India has helped many countries like Bhutan, China, Shri Lanka, Maldives Serbia, etc with medical supplies like surgical gloves, protective gear, food, fuel and other necessities.

• India also provided Hydroxychloroquine to more than 25 countries. Although, it’s not a definite cure to the virus, the drug has shown improvements in humans afflicted with Corona. India is the world’s biggest manufacturer of this drug; which is actually an anti-malerial tablet.


• Not only has India helped other countries, but it has also been rightly appreciated. While the leaders of many countries showed their heartfelt gratitude towards India through tweets, Switzerland went one step ahead by projecting the Indian flag on the Matterhorn mountain in the Swiss Alps.

A LADY NAMES HER NEW BORN BABY AFTER THE ADCP

In Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, a pregnant woman was expecting a baby during the lockdown. Her husband was stuck in Noida. She found herself helpless and sent a video to the SSP Bareilly Shailesh Pandey seeking help. He further contacted Ranvijay Singh, the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Noida) who ensured reaching of her husband back to Bareilly in time. In the acknowledgement of this gesture, the woman named her safely delivered baby Mohammed Ranvijay Singh, after the name of the ADCP.

ASSISTANT POLICE OFFICER SPOTTED CARRYING SANITIZER INSTEAD OF A GUN

In Mumbai, the Assistant Police Inspector Nitin Gayakwad was spotted on a bicycle, carrying a bottle of sanitizer in the duty belt magazine pouch where police customarily carry guns. This police officer was stationed at a building sealed due to positive cases. As a result of which he gave out a beautiful message while doing his duty. Roaming around in a bicycle evidently portrays that he is an environmentalist. Moreover, he understands that what will help us fight corona is not violence, but sanitation and keeping in good health.

KERELA AS A ROLE MODEL

The entire world looks up to Kerela as a role model in fighting against Covid19. This is because Kerela was constructively prepared even before the country reported one positive case. The first case was Padma Kumar, a Dubai resident. The actions taken by Kerela were quick and methodical. Immediately, there were awareness campaigns all around the state. The state controlled the virus effectively. Above all, the past experience with the spread of the Nipah infections helped Kerela establish proactive steps in tackling the virus.
