Which of our everyday essentials are #MakeinIndia & which others are Videshi?! Prepare to be surprised!

When our Desi family groups are bundled with promotional messages of #MakeinIndia and going local, do we really know which products we use are Swadesi and which are videshi?! With our capitalist economy booming, it is also vital that we have some form of self-sufficiency in our marketplace. And hence, we need to switch to locally produced goods, which also helps our economy. We have complied a list to help you sort out local and foreign amongst the heap of competition in the consumer market- across the detergents till the ice-creams!

Not a surprise, really.

We can’t let go of all our favorite brands, even though they are foreign. Whatever, shall we do! Anyway, hope that was eye-opening. Ready to go give the Mummy Papa a lecture on how Tide and Pears are draining our economy?! We, cheering!

But on a more serious note, go local to support small vendors and retailers- do our part for the economy and our fellow citizens. For a conglomerate such as McDonald’s, it may not make a difference if you opt for Burger King; but your galli-walle gol gappe bhaiya would surely miss you!
