Things Everyone Should Know About Abhishek Bachchan

Abhishek Bachchan a.k.a Jr. Bachchan is an extremely talented actor in the Hindi film industry popularly known as Bollywood. He is the son of Mr Amitabh Bachchan and Mrs Jaya Bachchan and the husband of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. He is one such actor who has got acting chops, as well as an amazing sense of humor. Abhishek Bachchan is extremely gung-ho and a fun-loving person in every sector, from interviews to films or social media presence. Let us take a look at his career.

An Appreciation Post For Abhishek Bachchan

Bold choices

Most actors want to get out of their comfort zone and want to do something different in every film. But, only some actors have achieved it in their careers and Bachchan is one of them. It takes a secure actor to transform oneself and take on a completely different life where there is no place for vanity. Like in Guru, he had grey hair, gained weight, and easily blended into the Gujarati culture. It was a truly fleshed-out performance with Rahman’s music which was the cherry on the cake.

Wit With Tweets

The Bol Bachchan actor is quite active on social media and is loved by the millennials for his response to trolls. Several netizens have, over time, resorted to taking a dig at him for his acting skills and for the fact that he is not as big a star as his father Amitabh Bachchan. However, Abhishek Bachchan always responds to these tweets with extreme confidence and wit, enough to shut down the trolls at once. When he and Big B were admitted to the hospital due to coronavirus, he got trolled on Twitter, “Ab kiske bharose baith ke khaoge?” and he tweeted saying, “Filhaal toh let let ke khaa rahe hai dono ek saath hospital mein.” That’s the kind of humor we all wish to develop someday!

Genres

Along with starring in blockbusters and critically acclaimed films, he has also played the contemporary male lead in a number of films such as Dhoom, Happy New Year, and Housefull 3, among others. It takes an actor to be very secure with this craft and his abilities to be doing such films spread across genres and themes without any hesitation, and he has done it so beautifully, that even though underrated, the actor has carved a niche for himself.

Perfect Partner

All girls in the world want their boyfriends to be as caring and loving as Abhishek. He has always been a hot topic amongst the ladies for his etiquettes, nature, and his penchant to entertain everyone in any situation. When Aishwarya received an award from the Miss World organization for her contribution to the industry, Abhishek accompanied her with Aaradhya to the stage, with so much panache, and he completely let Aishwarya shine on the stage by just being there for her. These little gestures are what makes him so charming and highly-regarded among the ladies.

Turning Point

1. Manmarziyaan

Abhishek has experienced quite a few highs and lows in his career but he has always managed to stay in the game no matter what. There have been times when he convincingly shone throughout a film and people have termed it as his ‘comeback’.

One such film was Manmarziyaan. He played Robbie Bhatia in the film who marries Rumi Bagga and is completely smitten by her beauty and behavior. But it turned out that Rumi was still in love with Vicky Sandhu, her ex-boyfriend. That scene where Robbie sees the duo romancing: the pain in his eyes, the thoughts, that feeling of heartbreak and not getting the love back has been so beautifully portrayed by him without a single dialogue, that the audience wept along with him, watching him get betrayed. That feeling of betrayal and loneliness has been something we never wish for anyone and his performance made us so empathetic towards him and his character, such was his conviction. He was lauded by viewers and critics alike for his nuanced performance and we one hundred percent agree with them!

2. Paa

It was so gutsy of him to take on a film like Paa as a producer and also as an actor. His character in the film was extremely simple and subtle, and yet, he played it so naturally. Even though Amitabh Bachchan’s character was the highlight of the film, Abhishek didn’t falter for a second in his shoes. As audience, we always crave to see something different in every film, but sometimes simple characters are so much harder to play on screen with so much conviction and passion, that we instantly connect with those characters. And the same happened with Abhishek’s Amol Arte in the film, such is his talent of doing justice with his characters.

3. Bol Bachchan

The majority of actors will agree that comedy is the hardest genre to perform. It is all about timing and spontaneity. Abhishek Bachchan has acted in quite a few comedy films. Bol Bachchan is accepted by the audience with open arms. Bachchan didn’t try to play a caricaturish character; he instead kept it natural and subtle. The actor truly created a buzz amongst the audience by delivering such a fun character. Not just that, but he has also managed to always strike the balance between commercial and parallel cinema as well, even though the lines may have blurred between them in today’s film scenario. The actor is now taking up projects which are so exciting for him as well as the audience.

Thank You Abhishek Bachchan For These Amazing Memories!!

To sum it all, Abhishek has not been given enough credit for his contribution to Indian cinema. He has given us some of the most iconic characters and stories which we shall cherish forever. Let us all not judge the actor by just one flop or one hit. There will always be light at the end of the tunnel.

Well, it has been a wonderful journey for Abhishek Bachchan in Bollywood. He has truly made his mark and is continuing to do so even today. He has been an inspiration for young actors by making these wonderful choices. Thank you, Abhishek Bachchan.
